Motivated by a long-standing resolve to promote lasting growth in the lives of others, Jesse holds deep respect for those committed to the courageous process of discovering themselves as agents of a broader humanity.
Jesse has engaged in ongoing study of human psychic and social behavior since earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Wesleyan University. After earning his master’s degree from New York University’s Silver School of Social Work, Jesse practiced psychotherapy with families and individuals at Bleuler Psychotherapy Center, a psychodynamic-oriented outpatient mental health clinic in Queens NY. He served in direct practice and supervisory roles as senior social worker at Footsteps, a non-profit organization that supports people from religious backgrounds in their navigation of secular society. Jesse simultaneously completed a four-year Clinical Fellowship Program at Gestalt Associates for Psychotherapy and has since engaged in ongoing supervision with leadership from this institute.
In private practice, Jesse welcomes the experienced in addition to those who are brand new to therapy. Working collaboratively, he looks to help clients identify barriers to accessing their fullness and applying creativity to finding new, satisfying ways of living.
